Comparative Examples

Listed below are comparisons between LumiFlux EL and some commercial EL lamps made to serve typical existing market sectors.

These comparisons demonstrate the various technical advantages of LumiFlux EL lamps:

  • For the same brightness: reduced voltage and/or frequency, lower power consumption and higher efficiency.
  • For the same drive: increased brightness and higher efficiency.
  • For the same power consumption: reduced drive, increased brightness and higher efficiency.

These technical benefits of LumiFlux EL lamps result in better visibility, longer service life, improved safety, energy saving, longer battery life or lower operating cost, and reduced operating temperature. Based on LumiFlux's capability, the competitiveness of electroluminescent lighting is improved over other light sources.

The comparisons listed below are between LumiFlux EL lamps and four high quality commercial EL lamps (labelled A, B, C, D). For performance reference visit the website of leading EL manufacturing companies.

The comparisons are based on setting up identical conditions for Samples A, B, C, D and LumiFlux. The set conditions are: drive, brightness or power consumption. The other comparative performance characteristics of LumiFlux lamps are indicated in bold. The comparisons listed below demonstrate relative performance in various existing applications, an apple-to-apple comparison.

Brightness maintenance comparison

In the folowing example LumiFlux EL lamps are compared with:
Sample A - called high bright, long life commercial product.
Sample B - called very long life, reduced brightness product.
The drive is 100V RMS - 400 Hz from a power supply,
continuous operation mode, in ambient conditions, 21C - 50% RH.
